SISO HAIR COLOR

Often client work, especially commercials tend to have a very boring brief with a bunch of check boxes attached to it: Show the product in use, have the dialogues talk about all its features, have a graphic card at the end with a 3D render of the product etc. This one from SISO Cosmetics came with only one, and a very simple one at that. They came to me with the requirement for a commercial that doesn’t look or feel like one; infact he did not even want his product to be mentioned till the very end. So, first of all it meant that the ad has to be good enough so that people wouldn’t feel like skipping it if it randomly appeared in their feed (you be the judge of that). Secondly, the nature of the film should be such that it stands different from the generic treatment received by ads of the same nature of products. It was the client himself who suggested the gangster story you see here. We had the idea to make it look like a gangster movie by showcasing some scale and adding trailer-like text to the final ad. It came out like this.
